Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Touch The Marble (From The Hajj Series) by Jamshid Bayrami was auctioned at Sothebys in Doha in April 2013. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,644.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jamshid Bayrami - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In the Line of Devotion, which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 18,500.00 (€ 23,532.81).
