This artwork by Jamie Shovlin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in September 2009. In the NOW: Art of the 21st Century auction, the work Fontana Colour Wheel sold for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,102.19) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jamie Shovlin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot (i) Coat Tit(ii) Great Tit(iii) House Sparrow sold at auction in September 2018 with the realized price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,615.64).
