This artwork by Jamian Juliano-Villani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction, the work Don't Touch Mi Tomato sold for HKD 882,000.00 (€ 98,069.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jamian Juliano-Villani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heat Wave, which sold at auction in June 2021 for HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 342,171.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jamian Juliano-Villani erzielte im November 2021 bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction wurde die Arbeit Don't Touch Mi Tomato für HKD 882.000,00 (€ 98.069,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jamian Juliano-Villani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heat Wave beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 342.171,67) versteigert wurde.
