In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction SPORTING ART AND DOGS, which included the work Faithful Friends by James Cole. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,842.55), 53% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Cole; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot In the stable sold at auction in June 2000 with the realized price of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,450.08).

Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion SPORTING ART AND DOGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Faithful Friends von James Cole zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.842,55) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von James Cole; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit In the stable im Juni 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.450,08).
