Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waiting For The Catch by James Cole was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,576.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by James Cole have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the stable in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,450.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Waiting For The Catch von James Cole kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.576,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Cole auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In the stable im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.450,08).
