Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper, which included the work A Pair Of Ducks - Possibly Wigeon by James Sillett. It changed hands for a price of GBP 750.00 (€ 836.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Sillett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Goldfish in November 2010 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,962.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Pair Of Ducks - Possibly Wigeon von James Sillett zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 836,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Sillett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Goldfish im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.962,49).
