Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Ruined Columns by James Ferrier Pryde was sold in the British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in May 2014. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,435.48), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Ferrier Pryde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Red Ruin in September 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 106,007.14).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Ruined Columns von James Ferrier Pryde wurde im Mai 2014 in der Auktion British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.435,48) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Ferrier Pryde auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Red Ruin im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 106.007,14).
