A top price for James Ferrier Pryde - as previously expected
The work The Red Ruin by James Ferrier Pryde was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2011. The price achieved of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 106,007.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Red Ruin is the most expensive artwork by James Ferrier Pryde that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The Red Ruin von James Ferrier Pryde kam im September 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 106.007,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Red Ruin das teuerste Kunstwerk von James Ferrier Pryde, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
