Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Pillar by James Ferrier Pryde was sold in the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in March 2014. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,808.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Ferrier Pryde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Red Ruin in September 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 106,007.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Pillar von James Ferrier Pryde wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.808,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Ferrier Pryde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Red Ruin im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 91.250,00 (€ 106.007,14).
