Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life by James Paterson was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,626.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Paterson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Green Jug in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 56,708.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life von James Paterson wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.626,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Paterson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Green Jug im Oktober 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 56.708,38).
