Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,730.84). Admittedly, works by James Northcote have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Admiral William Waldegrave, 1St Baron Radstock (1753-1825) in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 46,100.00 (€ 64,551.93).
