In September 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work The Lobsterman by James Milton Sessions for USD 1,673.00 (€ 1,347.35). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Milton Sessions - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure in a beached fishing boat, which sold at auction in December 2021 for USD 3,060.00 (€ 2,703.66).
