Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October last year Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work 'Somerset, near Selworthy, 1946' by James McIntosh Patrick. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 956.25 (€ 1,114.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James McIntosh Patrick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Springtime In Perthshire in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 53,413.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Somerset, near Selworthy, 1946' von James McIntosh Patrick zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 900,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 956,25 (€ 1.114,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James McIntosh Patrick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Springtime In Perthshire im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 53.413,18).
