Auction result well in line with expectations

In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Millhall Farm by James McIntosh Patrick. The price achieved of GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,265.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James McIntosh Patrick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Springtime In Perthshire in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 53,413.18).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Millhall Farm von James McIntosh Patrick zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.134,00 (€ 1.265,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James McIntosh Patrick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Springtime In Perthshire im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 53.413,18).
