A top price for James Lynch - as previously expected
In August 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Untitled (No Vacancy Red Factory Door) by James Lynch. The price achieved of AUD 1,320.00 (€ 776.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Australian Untitled (No Vacancy Red Factory Door) is the most expensive artwork by James Lynch that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im August 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Untitled (No Vacancy Red Factory Door) von James Lynch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 1.320,00 (€ 776,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Australian Untitled (No Vacancy Red Factory Door) das teuerste Kunstwerk von James Lynch, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
