In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work La Place, Tourettes by Jock Macdonald. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 19,200.00 (€ 14,345.50), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jock Macdonald; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Zero Flame sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of CAD 39,000.00 (€ 28,421.62).

Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Place, Tourettes von Jock Macdonald zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 19.200,00 (€ 14.345,50) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jock Macdonald; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Zero Flame im November 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von CAD 39.000,00 (€ 28.421,62).
