Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Carnival by Jock Macdonald. The price achieved of CAD 20,400.00 (€ 15,242.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by Jock Macdonald have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2011 the work Zero Flame was auctioned for CAD 39,000.00 (€ 28,421.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Carnival von Jock Macdonald zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CAD 20.400,00 (€ 15.242,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CAD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Jock Macdonald konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2011 die Arbeit Zero Flame für CAD 39.000,00 (€ 28.421,62) versteigert.
