Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Etherial Form Sic by Jock Macdonald was worth CAD 33,000.00 (€ 25,313.16) to a buyer in June 2010. This price was achieved in the auction Important Canadian Art at Sothebys in Toronto and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of CAD 10,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jock Macdonald; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Zero Flame sold at auction in November 2011 with the realized price of CAD 39,000.00 (€ 28,421.62).
