Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Venice: Evening by James Holland was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings auction at Christies in London in July 2016. It achieved a price of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,249.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Holland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Colleoni Monument, Venice, which sold at auction in June 2003 for GBP 35,850.00 (€ 51,518.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Venice: Evening von James Holland wurde im Juli 2016 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 25.249,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von James Holland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Colleoni Monument, Venice beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für GBP 35.850,00 (€ 51.518,40) versteigert wurde.
