This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by James Holland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Colleoni Monument, Venice in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 51,518.40).
