Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures disembarking into a palazzo from a gondola, Venice by James Holland was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2012. The price achieved of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,466.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Holland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Colleoni Monument, Venice in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 51,518.40).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.466,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Holland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Colleoni Monument, Venice im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 51.518,40).
