Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A View in Venice by James Holland was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours auction at Christies in London in July 2013. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,426.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Holland have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Colleoni Monument, Venice in June 2003 with an auction result of GBP 35,850.00 (€ 51,518.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A View in Venice von James Holland wurde im Juli 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.426,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Holland auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Colleoni Monument, Venice im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.850,00 (€ 51.518,40).
