This artwork by Haughton Forrest achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in November 2004. In the COLES MYER COLLECTION auction, the work Tasmanian Landscape sold for AUD 19,120.00 (€ 11,136.87) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Haughton Forrest - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Top Sail Schooner And Sailing Yacht, which sold at auction in March 2005 for AUD 65,725.00 (€ 40,238.76).

In der Auktion COLES MYER COLLECTION wurde die Arbeit Tasmanian Landscape für AUD 19.120,00 (€ 11.136,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Haughton Forrest mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Top Sail Schooner And Sailing Yacht beobachtet, die im März 2005 für AUD 65.725,00 (€ 40.238,76) versteigert wurde.
