Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Hardy could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work Ships Whaling In The Atlantic changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 356.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Hardy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A successful shoot in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,965.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Hardy konnte im November 2006 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Ships Whaling In The Atlantic für GBP 240,00 (€ 356,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Hardy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A successful shoot im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.965,09).
