Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A padle steamer entering the port by James Hardy was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in August 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 312.00 (€ 461.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Hardy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A successful shoot in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,965.09).

Die Arbeit A padle steamer entering the port von James Hardy wurde im August 2007 in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 312,00 (€ 461,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
