Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Feeding time by James Hardy. The price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,239.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Hardy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A successful shoot in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,965.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Feeding time von James Hardy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.239,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Hardy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A successful shoot im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.965,09).
