The work A naval battle by James Hardy was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in October 2005. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 480.00 (€ 707.85), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by James Hardy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A successful shoot in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,965.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A naval battle von James Hardy wurde im Oktober 2005 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 707,85) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Hardy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A successful shoot im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.965,09).
