Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The bride by James Ferrier Pryde was sold in the Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh auction at Christies in London in October 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,559.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Ferrier Pryde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Red Ruin in September 2011 with an auction result of GBP 91,250.00 (€ 106,007.14).

Die Arbeit The bride von James Ferrier Pryde wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion Scottish ArtThe Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.559,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
