Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by James Ferguson was sold in the The Sunday Sale - Property of the Late Monty Lewis, removed from Hyver Manor & Property of the Late Dr. William Lindsaygordon auction at Christies in London in March 2009. The price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 566.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Ferguson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Charles Edward Stuart in May 2021 with an auction result of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,933.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von James Ferguson wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion The Sunday Sale - Property of the Late Monty Lewis, removed from Hyver Manor & Property of the Late Dr. William Lindsaygordon bei Christies in London versteigert.
