Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by James Ferguson was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2005. The price achieved of GBP 264.00 (€ 387.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Ferguson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Charles Edward Stuart in May 2021 with an auction result of GBP 5,100.00 (€ 5,933.97).
