In the British and Victorian Pictures auction, the work Children before a cottage, Surrey sold for GBP 4,112.50 (€ 4,142.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by James Edwin Meadows have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Homeward Bound in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,822.77).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Edwin Meadows auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Homeward Bound im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.822,77).
