Auction result well in line with expectations
The work By the Stream by James Edwin Meadows was sold in the The House Sale auction at Christies in New York in February 2007. The price achieved of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,535.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Edwin Meadows - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Homeward Bound, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,822.77).
