Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Stormy Weather, Georgian Bay by James Edward Hervey MacDonald. The price achieved of CAD 48,000.00 (€ 35,863.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Edward Hervey MacDonald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wind Clouds in November 2010 with an auction result of CAD 589,000.00 (€ 440,078.24).
