The work Lupines, High Park by James Edward Hervey MacDonald was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in June 2010. The »bidding war« ended at CAD 30,000.00 (€ 23,011.96), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Edward Hervey MacDonald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wind Clouds in November 2010 with an auction result of CAD 589,000.00 (€ 440,078.24).

Die Arbeit Lupines, High Park von James Edward Hervey MacDonald wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von CAD 30.000,00 (€ 23.011,96) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Edward Hervey MacDonald erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wind Clouds im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 589.000,00 (€ 440.078,24).
