Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Lake by James Dickson Innes was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2008. The price achieved of GBP 2,875.00 (€ 3,664.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Dickson Innes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Camden Town: Night Scene in March 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 51,845.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Lake von James Dickson Innes kam im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.875,00 (€ 3.664,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Dickson Innes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Camden Town: Night Scene im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 51.845,73).
