In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Mountain With Small Meandering Stream by James Dickson Innes. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,640.75), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Dickson Innes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Camden Town: Night Scene sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 51,845.73).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.640,75) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von James Dickson Innes; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Camden Town: Night Scene im März 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 51.845,73).
