Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Collioure From The Hill by James Dickson Innes. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 23,631.55). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Dickson Innes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Camden Town: Night Scene, which sold at auction in March 2015 for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 51,845.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Collioure From The Hill von James Dickson Innes zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 23.631,55) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von James Dickson Innes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Camden Town: Night Scene beobachtet, die im März 2015 für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 51.845,73) versteigert wurde.
