Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Chicken House; and A Coming Squall at Mattapoisett, Mass: Two Works by James Brade Sword was sold in the THE HOUSE SALE auction at Christies in New York in September 2002. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,912.00 (€ 1,935.42). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Brade Sword - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Off the Rhode Island Coast, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,287.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Chicken House; and A Coming Squall at Mattapoisett, Mass: Two Works von James Brade Sword wurde im September 2002 in der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.912,00 (€ 1.935,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von James Brade Sword mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Off the Rhode Island Coast beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.287,65) versteigert wurde.
