Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work In Greenwich Park by James Baker Pyne for GBP 180.00 (€ 265.45). This price was achieved in the auction RUNFOLD MANOR, 73 ARTESIAN ROAD AND O.F. WILSON, LONDON at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Baker Pyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work VIEW OF THE CUSTOM HOUSE FROM THE THAMES in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 41,825.00 (€ 65,495.79).
