In the British and Victorian Paintings auction, the work A Picnic On The Lago D'Orta With The Town of Omegna Beyond sold for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,878.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Baker Pyne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work VIEW OF THE CUSTOM HOUSE FROM THE THAMES in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 41,825.00 (€ 65,495.79).
