Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lilies, irises, tulips, narcissi and other flowers in an urn with a grasshopper and a dragonfly on a stone ledge by Jacob Marrel was sold in the Important Old Master & British PicturesDay Sale Including Property From The Collection Of The Princely House Of Liechtenstein auction at Christies in London in July 2008. The price achieved of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 62,572.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob Marrel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Blumenstilleben in einer Terracotta-Vase auf einem Sockel. 1640. in September 2010 with an auction result of CHF 491,500.00 (€ 368,417.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lilies, irises, tulips, narcissi and other flowers in an urn with a grasshopper and a dragonfly on a stone ledge von Jacob Marrel wurde im Juli 2008 in der Auktion Important Old Master & British PicturesDay Sale Including Property From The Collection Of The Princely House Of Liechtenstein bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 62.572,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Marrel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Blumenstilleben in einer Terracotta-Vase auf einem Sockel. 1640. im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 491.500,00 (€ 368.417,21).
