Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Weldon Collection, which included the work Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Within A Niche, With Cherries, Shells And A Lizard by Jacob Marrel. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,583.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Marrel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blumenstilleben in einer Terracotta-Vase auf einem Sockel. 1640., which sold at auction in September 2010 for CHF 491,500.00 (€ 368,417.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Weldon Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Within A Niche, With Cherries, Shells And A Lizard von Jacob Marrel zur Versteigerung kam.
