Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rote Quadrate auf grünem Quadrat, 1968. by Jakob Bill was auctioned at Koller in December 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 250.00 – 350.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 262.00 (€ 169.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jakob Bill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work No. 27 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,752.10).

Die Arbeit Rote Quadrate auf grünem Quadrat, 1968. von Jakob Bill kam im Dezember 2004 bei Koller zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 250,00 – 350,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 262,00 (€ 169,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jakob Bill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit No. 27 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.752,10).
