Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled by Jagdish Swaminathan was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. It changed hands for a price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 100,195.94) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jagdish Swaminathan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Bird, Tree and Mountain Series) in September last year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 837,166.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled von Jagdish Swaminathan kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 100.195,94) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jagdish Swaminathan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Bird, Tree and Mountain Series) im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 819.000,00 (€ 837.166,51).
