Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Virgin And Child by Jacques Stella for EUR 11,875.00. This price was achieved in the auction Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 12,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charity in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 138,478.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Virgin And Child von Jacques Stella für EUR 11.875,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Tableaux, Sculptures et Dessins Anciens et du XIXe siècle bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charity im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 138.478,58).
