In January 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II, which included the work Judith With The Head Of Holofernes by Jacques Stella. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,250.00 (€ 27,679.36), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacques Stella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Charity in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 138,478.58).

Im Januar 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Sculpture: Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Judith With The Head Of Holofernes von Jacques Stella zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 27.679,36) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques Stella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Charity im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 138.478,58).
