Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bonhams held the auction Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours 1912 – 2131, which included the work Jardinage n°11, tombeau d'Heinrich von Kleist by Jacques Monory. The price achieved of EUR 8,960.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Monory achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dimanche Matin (N°247 Bis), 1966 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 92,940.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Art de l'Avant-Garde à nos jours 1912 – 2131 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jardinage n°11, tombeau d'Heinrich von Kleist von Jacques Monory zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 8.960,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Monory erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dimanche Matin (N°247 Bis), 1966 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 92.940,00.
