Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Dancers in Goulimine by Jacques Majorelle for SEK 230,000.00 (€ 19,817.91). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Art + Design at Bukowski in Stockholm and was even below the estimate range of SEK 300,000.00 – 350,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Majorelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Kasbah Rouge (Freija), 1924 in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 1,280,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dancers in Goulimine von Jacques Majorelle für SEK 230.000,00 (€ 19.817,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Art + Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 300.000,00 – 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Majorelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Kasbah Rouge (Freija), 1924 im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.280.450,00.
