Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Zissou Caught In The Blast Of The Amerigo'S Propeller, Buc by Jacques Henri Lartigue for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,137.61). This price was achieved in the auction Classic Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Henri Lartigue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Automobile Delage, Grand Prix de l’Automobile-Club de France, Le Tréport, 26 juin 1912 in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 54,536.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Zissou Caught In The Blast Of The Amerigo'S Propeller, Buc von Jacques Henri Lartigue für USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.137,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Classic Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Henri Lartigue erzielen.
