Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, which included the work Halte De Cavaliers Avec Vivandières by Jacques François Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines. The price achieved of EUR 929.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques François Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Military Encampment At The Edge Of A Forest in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,930.36).

Im Oktober 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Halte De Cavaliers Avec Vivandières von Jacques François Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 929,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques François Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines erzielen.
